Occupied Jerusalem, At least 22 Palestinians were rounded up by the Israeli occupation forces across the occupied West Bank over the last few hours, according to a joint statement by the Palestinian Prisoners Society and the Palestinian Prisoners Affairs Authority. They said that Israeli forces detained around 22 Palestinians, including an 8-yaer-old child, a student at Birzeit University, and former detainees. The statement said that at least ten Palestinians were rounded up by occupation forces in Tulkarm governorate following a military incursion that lasted for hours. Additionally, Israeli occupation forces arrested four workers from the Gaza Strip while they were passing at a military checkpoint west of Jericho. Meanwhile, the rest of the detention campaigns took place in the governorates of Ramallah, Bethlehem, Nablus, Jericho, and Tubas. According to the statement, Israeli occupation forces continue to conduct widespread detention campaigns involving raids, torture, brutal beatings, threats again st detainees and their families, deliberate killings, and the destruction of civilian homes. Since Oct. 7, the total number of arrests in the West Bank has exceeded 8,610, including those arrested from their homes, at military checkpoints, those who surrendered under pressure, and those taken by Israeli authorities as hostages.
