Jamaica: Jamaica advanced to the final of Path 1 in the intercontinental playoffs for the 2026 FIFA World Cup, set to be held in the United States, Mexico, and Canada, after a 1-0 win over New Caledonia in the semifinals currently taking place in Mexico.
According to Qatar News Agency, Bailey Cadamarteri scored Jamaica's only goal in the 18th minute, setting up a final clash next Tuesday against DR Congo for a place at the World Cup.
Jamaica qualified for the intercontinental playoffs after finishing among the two best runners-up across the three groups in the final round of the CONCACAF qualifiers.
The winner of the Jamaica-DR Congo match will join Group 11 of the World Cup group stage alongside Portugal, Uzbekistan, and Colombia.
