Japan said Thursday that one of its military helicopters crashed. It was carrying 10 people near an island in the southwest of the country.

The coast guard said that the UH60 helicopter disappeared from radar tracking after leaving a Ground Self Defense Force base on Miyakojima. The authorities count the people that were in the helicopter as missing. (QNA)
