Doha: Jordan has called for the international community to confront Israeli occupation’s continued targeting of the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA).

According to Qatar News Agency, the Foreign Ministry condemned today the Israeli entity’s expansion of its aggression on the Gaza Strip and the targeting of a UNRWA clinic in the Jabalia camp, north of the Strip. It affirmed its denunciation of the systematic campaign against the UN agency’s work in the occupied Palestinian territory including the deliberate fire that targeted its headquarters in occupied Jerusalem, in a blatant violation of international law and relevant UN resolutions.

It indicated that the Agency is being subjected to a political assassination attempt targeting its symbolism, which affirms the right of Palestinian refugees to return and compensation in accordance with international law. This is a clear attempt to deprive the Palestinian people of vital rights and services recognized by the international community.
