Amman: King Abdullah II of Jordan emphasized the urgent need for intensified international efforts to immediately stop Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip. During a phone call on Tuesday with Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez, King Abdullah stressed the importance of compelling Israel to fully implement the ceasefire agreement in all its stages and resume the delivery of humanitarian aid.
According to Qatar News Agency, he warned of the grave consequences of the ongoing war on innocent civilians, the worsening catastrophic humanitarian situation in Gaza, and the potential escalation of tensions in the region. The King reiterated Jordan’s firm stance against the displacement of Palestinians in Gaza and the West Bank, asserting that peace and stability in the region cannot be achieved without a just resolution to the Palestinian issue based on the two-state solution.
