The Cultural Village Foundation, Katara, announced the launch of its first conference in the field of cultural tourism from 7 to 9 December.
General Manager of Cultural Village Foundation Professor Dr. Khalid bin Ibrahim Al Sulaiti, stressed that the richness of the Qatari culture and the diversity of the heritage have enabled Qatar to occupy an advanced position in the field of cultural tourism. He further explained that cultural tourism has become the most common all over the world, according to reports from international organizations.
Dr. Al Sulaiti added that the conference aims at mobilizing energies to promote and market the cultural tourism product in Qatar, as it is the ideal model that reflects the nature of the Qatari people in their acceptance and openness to others, respect for their customs, traditions and beliefs, and the openness of the State’s cultural institutions to other nations and their cultures, similar to what Katara embodies in all its festivals, and cultural and heritage activities.
