Moscow: Russian President Vladimir Putin will embark on an official two-day visit to China beginning May 19, the Kremlin announced on Saturday.
According to Qatar News Agency, the Kremlin stated that Putin and Chinese President Xi Jinping are set to discuss ways to further deepen bilateral ties and enhance the comprehensive partnership and strategic cooperation between Moscow and Beijing. The two leaders are expected to exchange views on a range of regional and international issues, aiming to strengthen their collaborative efforts.
The Kremlin's statement also mentioned that Putin will have a meeting with Chinese Premier Li Qiang. The discussions with Premier Li are anticipated to focus on prospects for bilateral trade and economic cooperation, highlighting the ongoing commitment to economic collaboration between the two nations.
Putin's upcoming visit marks his return to China after his last visit from August 31 to September 3, 2025, emphasizing the importance of maintaining robust relations between the two countries.
