Athens: HE President of the Republic of Finland Alexander Stubb met with HE Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al-Thani on the sidelines of the inaugural summit of the Alliance for Europe-Gulf Geopolitics and Investments Summit, held in Athens, Greece.

According to Qatar News Agency, the meeting began with HE the Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs extending greetings from HH the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani to HE the President of Finland, wishing him good health and happiness, alongside continued progress and prosperity for the people of Finland. In response, HE the President of Finland reciprocated with greetings to HH the Amir, expressing wishes for his good health and happiness, and for ongoing progress and development for the Qatari people.

The discussion focused on cooperation relations and strategies to bolster and enhance these ties. The talks also covered regional developments, particularly the ceasefire between the United States of America and the Islamic Republic of Iran, exploring efforts to de-escalate tensions and contribute to regional security and stability.
