MADLSA Extends Probation Period for Workers to Nine Months

The Ministry of Administrative Development, Labour and Social Affairs (MADLSA) has extended the probation period for workers (domestic helps) to become nine months, in the context of implementing the Minister of Development Decision No. (21) for the year 2021 concerned with regulating the licensing of recruiting workers from abroad for the account of others.

The ministry clarified in a post on its Twitter account that the probation period for workers (domestic helps) has been extended for an additional (6) months, which the worker recruitment offices are obligated to provide to employers, and it begins as soon as the preliminary probation period ends within (3) months, bringing the total of probation period to (9) months according to the terms and conditions.
