Major General Barakat receives the Chinese Ambassador to the State of Palestine

Ramallah Together - The Commander of the Customs Police Service, Major General Iyad Barakat, received today, Tuesday, in his office in Ramallah, the Ambassador of the People's Republic of China to the State of Palestine, Mr. Zeng Jixin, and his accompanying delegation. At the beginning of the meeting, Barakat welcomed Ambassador Zeng Jixin and the accompanying delegation, praising the historical and strong relations between the two countries. During the meeting, Barakat presented a comprehensive overview of the customs police apparatus, pointing out its essential role in protecting the national economy and providing food and health security for citizens through coordination and cooperation with partner agencies. Barakat also explained the importance of the device in implementing the government's economic and financial policies, which contributes to improving public revenues to support the national treasury. For his part, Ambassador Zeng Jixin thanked Major General Barakat for the warm reception, and praised the great efforts made by the Customs Police Service in protecting the national economy. It was also agreed during the meeting to organize training courses in coordination with the Palestinian Ministry of Interior, in addition to field visits to the agency's branches in all Governorates to review its developments and study its future needs. This cooperation aims to enhance the technical and professional capabilities of the customs police apparatus and exchange experiences between the two sides. At the conclusion of the meeting, Iyad Barakat presented a shield of appreciation to Ambassador Zeng Jixin, as an expression of gratitude for China's continued support in developing the customs police apparatus and enhancing its capabilities.
