Nablus - Ma'an - A young man was killed and others were injured after the occupation forces stormed Balata camp east of Nablus this morning, Tuesday. Clashes erupted after the camp was stormed, amid the arrival of more military reinforcements from the Beit Furik checkpoint. The Ministry of Health announced the death of the young man, Diaa Hani Abdel Rahman Duweikat (25 years old), as a result of critical wounds he sustained from occupation bullets in the abdomen and thigh in Balata camp. Our correspondent reported that there were injuries inside a house in the Hashashin neighborhood in Balata camp, and the occupation forces were preventing ambulance crews from reaching the site. The Red Crescent said that 3 paramedics were injured by live bullets after being deliberately targeted by the occupation soldiers, despite prior coordination through the International Committee of the Red Cross, while they were trying to evacuate a number of injuries in Balata camp. The Red Crescent said that its crews were able to transport a person in critical condition after he was shot in the thigh with live ammunition in Balata camp, east of Nablus. He pointed out that the occupation forces are detaining ambulances while they are trying to enter the camp to evacuate the injured Red Crescent crews and are still unable to evacuate the injured paramedics until now.
