Doha: HE Dr Ali bin Samikh Al Marri, Minister of Labour and Chairman of the National Committee for Combating Human Trafficking (NCCHT), chaired the committee’s regular meeting on Tuesday. During the session, the NCCHT reviewed the progress of its action plan to combat human trafficking. The meeting also included discussions on several proposals aimed at enhancing protection and support for victims. Emphasis was placed on the importance of strengthening coordination with relevant authorities and stakeholders.

According to Qatar News Agency, the committee is focusing on implementing strategies that will ensure better protection for victims of human trafficking. The proposals discussed are geared towards improving the overall framework and support systems that are currently in place. The NCCHT is committed to enhancing collaboration with various entities involved in combating human trafficking, ensuring a comprehensive approach to tackling the issue.
