Ministry of Labour Conducts Awareness Campaign on Safety Measures in Construction Sites

Doha: The Ministry of Labour, represented by the Occupational Safety and Health Department, has conducted a specialised awareness campaign to reinforce safety measures at construction sites. Targeting workers at “Imar” company, the initiative aligns with the Ministry’s commitment to fostering a safe and sustainable working environment in line with Qatar National Vision 2030.

According to Qatar News Agency, the campaign focused on educating workers about identifying potential hazards in construction settings and implementing preventive measures to minimise injuries. By promoting strict adherence to safety protocols, the initiative aims to reduce workplace accidents and enhance occupational health standards.

Ministry officials delivered informative presentations on key safety measures, including the correct use of personal protective equipment (helmets, safety boots, and goggles), the safe operation of heavy machinery, and compliance with hazard warnings. Workers also received practical guidance on maintaining a secure and efficient working environment.

Interactive sessions provided participants with the opportunity to seek clarifications on workplace safety regulations. The campaign further emphasised the importance of continuous training, proactive collaboration with on-site safety teams, and the adoption of best practices to ensure accident-free operations.

Through such initiatives, the Ministry of Labour reaffirms its dedication to safeguarding workers’ well-being and advancing safety standards across all sectors.
