The Ministry of Commerce and Industry (MOCI), reported that Holders should be treated equally to clients who make cash purchases. Through its official Twitter account, the ministry published the responsibilities of consumer, retailer and general principle.

MOCI said that it was the duty of retailer responsibility should refrain from imposing any form of commissions on clients purchasing or returning products that were paid for using credit or debit cards.
