Doha: HE Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al-Thani met Thursday with HE Minister of Foreign Affairs of Canada Anita Anand, who is currently visiting the country. The meeting focused on the enhancement of bilateral relations and regional developments, particularly efforts concerning the ceasefire between the United States and Iran and broader de-escalation initiatives for regional stability.

According to Qatar News Agency, the two sides concluded their discussions by signing a memorandum of understanding to establish a strategic dialogue between the Qatari Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Canadian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Trade and Development. This agreement aims to foster closer cooperation and coordination between the two nations on various international and regional issues.
