HE Mr. Jassim Saif Ahmed Al Sulaiti, the Minister of Transport and Communications, inaugurated yesterday the pilot operation of Mowasalat (Karwa)'s electric bus charging station.

This launch coincides with the arrival of the first batch of eco-friendly and quiet buses, which will be used by Mowasalat within its transport system, complementing the electric vehicles strategy prepared by the Ministry of Transport and Communications (MOTC), in collaboration with the relevant authorities.

The launch aims at supporting the State's progress toward a green future and achieving economic and environmental balance to ensure the sustainability of infrastructure projects for the transport sector, in addition to developing means of transport by utilizing alternative and clean energy in accordance with the latest global eco-friendly systems, to curb harmful carbon emissions, thus providing a clean, healthy, and safe environment for generations to come.
