Doha: The Qatar Motor and Motorcycle Federation (QMMF) and Lusail International Circuit (LIC) have announced that the MotoGP Qatar Airways Grand Prix of Qatar 2026, initially scheduled for April 10 to 12, has been postponed and rescheduled to take place from November 6 to 8 later this year.

According to Qatar News Agency, the decision to reschedule the event was made in collaboration with MotoGP Sport and Entertainment Group. Abdulrahman bin Abdullatif Al Mannai, President of QMMF and LIC, expressed their respect and support for the decision, emphasizing gratitude towards fans, teams, and partners for their understanding and ongoing support. Al Mannai stated, "We look forward to welcoming everyone back to Lusail International Circuit."

Carmelo Ezpeleta, CEO of MotoGP, highlighted that the decision was taken with careful consideration and in full coordination with partners in Qatar and across the MotoGP paddock. He reiterated that the safety and well-being of everyone involved in MotoGP are top priorities and assured that every Grand Prix will be delivered to the highest standard. Ezpeleta also mentioned that ticket holders would have the option to rollover their tickets to the rescheduled event.
