MPs Call On The Presidency Of Parliament To Coordinate Arab And Islamic Diplomatic Efforts To Support The Palestinian People

Baghdad , Independent MPs and MPs of various blocs called on the Speaker of the House of Representatives to call for the issuance of a unified position at the meeting of heads of parliaments of the Union of Councils of Member States of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation.

In a joint press conference today, Saturday, the head of the Ishraqa Canon Parliamentary Bloc, Haider Al-Mutairi, addressed the Speaker of Parliament, Muhammad Al-Halbousi, in his capacity as President of the Arab Parliamentary Union, to take action, calling on him to unify the diplomatic positions of all Arab countries due to the necessity of coming out with a clear and firm position to save our people in Palestine occupied by the usurping Zionist entity.

Al-Mutairi called for assigning the parliamentary delegation participating in the meetings of the Inter-Parliamentary Union in Angola in the coming days to coordinate efforts with the rest of the Arab, Islamic and friendly countries in the meeting to issue a unified position to condemn this aggression and formulate a new dealing policy appropriate to the current events.

He also urged the government to provide humanitarian and relief support to the Palestinian people, and to take rapid diplomatic action at the Arab, Islamic and international levels to stop the genocide being practiced against them.
