Geneva, The delegation of the National Institution for Human Rights (NHRI), led by NHRI's President Ali Ahmed Al Derazi, along with Ahmed Al Salloom and Rawdha Al Aradi, members of the Board of Commissioners, participated in the annual meeting of the Asia Pacific Forum (APF), held on the sidelines of the Global Alliance of National Human Rights Institutions (GANHRI) at the Palais des Nations in Geneva. During the meeting, the forum reviewed 38 events that have been organised last year, and approved the financial report and operations plan for 2024-2025 were approved. The meeting also discussed the draft guidelines on the role of national human rights organizations in conflict situations, the mechanism for providing support to new organisations to ensure their compliance with the Paris Principles, as well as the exchange of expertise and best practices among members to strengthen capacity and regional cooperation.
