Norway Increases Ukraine Aid to 7.2 Billion Euros for 2025

Norway: Norway’s Prime Minister Jonas Gahr Store announced his country would increase aid to Ukraine in 2025 to about 7.2 billion euros. Store added in a statement on Thursday that the 50 billion Norwegian kroner increase (roughly 4.2 billion euros) comes amid the most serious security situation for Norway since World War II.

According to Qatar News Agency, Store emphasized Oslo’s significant contribution to peace and stability in Ukraine and Europe. The statement highlighted that Norwegian support will aid Ukraine and bolster the peace plan that European countries are working on. It also noted that the Norwegian government is committed to joining Europe in enhancing the support provided to Ukraine.

The statement indicated that with this additional increase, Norway’s total contribution to Ukraine until 2030 has risen to 205 billion kroner, nearly 17.5 billion euros.
