Gaza City: Three Palestinians were martyred Thursday as a result of Israeli shelling that targeted a group of citizens east of Shujaiya neighborhood east of Gaza City. Medical sources reported that a citizen was martyred when an Israeli drone targeted a group of citizens near Al Tawfiq Mosque in the same neighborhood. Additionally, two other citizens succumbed to their injuries later after being transferred to the hospital for treatment.

According to Qatar News Agency, a citizen was also injured by bullets from Israeli occupation forces in Tal Al Sultan neighborhood, located west of Rafah city in the southern Gaza Strip. Civil Defense revealed that its crews managed to extinguish a fire that erupted in an apartment within a residential building in Tal Al-Sultan neighborhood, following an attack by the Israeli occupation army.

The death toll from the Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip on Thursday has surged to 48,446 martyrs, with 111,852 injuries reported since October 7, 2023. The Ministry of Health announced that six martyrs were brought to hospitals in the Strip over the past 24 hours after being retrieved from under the rubble.

Despite a ceasefire agreement between Hamas and the Israeli occupation entering into force on January 19, the Israeli occupation forces continue to violate the terms of the agreement. They persist in carrying out bombing and shooting operations across several areas of the Gaza Strip, exacerbating the dire situation.
