Independent Kurdish politician Mahmoud Othman confirmed that the leader of the Kurdistan Democratic Party, Masoud Barzani, is a great supporter of the Prime Minister of the Federal Government, Muhammad Shiaa Al-Sudani, in his work and orientations. Othman said in a statement to the National Iraqi News Agency (NINA): 'Masoud Barzani visited Baghdad at the beginning of this week and the visit lasted for two days, during which he met most of the political leaders in the country, to discuss a number of issues that were not announced in an official statement by the region. This is a major flaw, as citizens in Iraq in general and the region in particular are not informed of the results of the visit. Othman explained that many speculations emerged in the media after Masoud Barzani's visit, but all of them are incorrect, pointing out that the visit to Baghdad is generally good for communicating with political leaders, and it is a courtesy visit more than a practical one. Othman believed that the visit came to grea tly support Al-Sudani, and that Masoud Barzani praised the Prime Minister and his approaches to resolving the problems with the region and his work in general. Othman denied Barzani's intervention in solving the problem of the Sunni component regarding the candidate for the position of Speaker of Parliament, despite his meeting with them and urging them to solve the problems of the Sunni forces in general.
