Gaza City: A Palestinian was martyred Thursday by Israeli occupation forces east of Gaza City. Local sources said that a young man, 23 years old, was martyred after being shot by Israeli occupation forces in the Shuja’iyya neighborhood east of Gaza City while trying to check his house.

According to Qatar News Agency, the Palestinian Ministry of Health announced Thursday that the death toll from the Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip, which has been ongoing since October 7, 2023, has risen to 48,319 martyrs, and 111,749 wounded, most of whom were children and women.

The Palestinian Ministry of Health in Gaza reported in a statement that the hospitals in the Strip received, during the past 24 hours, the bodies of 22 martyrs who were pulled out from under the rubble, and 16 wounded, noting that there are thousands of victims under the rubble of completely destroyed buildings without the civil defense crews being able to reach them.
