Political Affairs Undersecretary participates in Saudi-Bahrain Coordination Council meeting

Dr. Shaikh Abdullah bin Ahmed Al Khalifa, Political Affairs Undersecretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs has praised the historical ties between Bahrain and Saudi Arabia and the continuous progress, haling the steady progress of bilateral ties, under the leadership of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud.

The undersecretary made the statements during the meeting of the Secretariat General of the Saudi-Bahraini Coordination Council, held virtually.

Dr. Shaikh Abdullah bin Ahmed and Ambassador Dr. Saud bin Mohammed Al Sati, the Saudi Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs for Political and Economic Affairs co-chaired the remote meeting.

The meeting discussed the Bahrain-Saudi ties considering the initiatives emanating from the Saudi-Bahraini Coordination Council, under the joint presidency of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, and the Crown Prince and Prime Minister of Saudi Arabia, His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud.

The council's secretariat general outlined recommendations and initiatives from the five sub-committees, focusing on cooperation and strategic partnerships in the political, econmic, security, trade, investment, media, social and environmental fields.

The recommendations and visions will be submitted to the preparatory committee which, in turn, will present its outputs to the next meeting of the council.
