Abu dhabi: HH UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan and Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic engaged in discussions about regional developments amid ongoing military escalations and their implications for security.
According to Qatar News Agency, the dialogue between the two leaders also focused on the continued Iranian attacks targeting the UAE and other countries in the region. These attacks, directed at civilians, civilian infrastructure, and vital facilities, were characterized as violations of state sovereignty and international law.
The Serbian President expressed condemnation of these attacks and reaffirmed Serbia's solidarity with the UAE. He pledged full support for the measures the UAE is taking to safeguard its security, stability, territorial integrity, and the safety of its people.
Both leaders emphasized the necessity of halting military escalations immediately and highlighted the importance of dialogue and diplomacy in resolving regional issues. They stressed the need to prioritize these methods to maintain security and stability and to prevent further tensions and crises.
The meeting also included a review of cooperation between the UAE and Serbia. Both sides reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening ties, aligning with their development priorities and mutual interests.
