Prime Minister Mohammed Shia Al-Sudani stressed that Iraq stands today with its government, people and the directives of the supreme religious authority with Lebanon and its brotherly people. The Prime Minister said: The Lebanese people are facing a new page of premeditated brutal aggression seeking to drown the region in conflicts, which we have previously warned against, and we will proceed to provide all possible assistance to overcome the effects of these attacks. The Prime Minister stressed: We record the ongoing systematic targeting of international agencies and relief organizations in the occupied territories and the audacity to harm their members, including United Nations agencies, including the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) in Gaza, which is supposed to be protected under international law. Al-Sudani said: These attacks not only disrupt humanitarian work, but also violate international standards that protect civilians and those providing aid in conflict area s. Al-Sudani stressed that the recent moves of the occupation seek to threaten the stability of the countries of the region by igniting a large-scale regional war. The Prime Minister added: Iraq, as a founding member of the United Nations, hopes that this institution will achieve the goals for which it was established in preserving peace and security and sparing the world the dangers of wars and tragedies that it has experienced throughout history.
