Doha: HE Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al-Thani received a phone call from HE Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran Dr. Abbas Araghchi. The conversation focused on collaborative efforts to achieve peace while enhancing security and stability throughout the region.
According to Qatar News Agency, the Prime Minister emphasized the importance of all parties engaging with ongoing mediation efforts. This engagement is seen as pivotal for addressing the root causes of regional crises through peaceful means and dialogue, ultimately leading to a sustainable agreement that prevents renewed escalation.
His Excellency also highlighted the necessity of maintaining open sea lanes and ensuring freedom of navigation. He cautioned against using these routes as bargaining chips or pressure tactics, citing potential negative impacts on regional countries, global energy and food supplies, and international peace and security.
