Qatar Chamber and QFC Sign MoU to Boost Private Sector and Attract Global Investments

Doha: Qatar Chamber and Qatar Financial Center (QFC) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) aimed at strengthening cooperation to support the private sector's role in sustainable development in Qatar by attracting global investments, expertise, and technologies to the Qatari market.

According to Qatar News Agency, the MoU was signed by Chief Executive Officer of Qatar Financial Center Mansoor Rashid Al Khater and Acting General Manager of Qatar Chamber Ali Bu Sharbak Al Mansori, in the presence of HE Chairman of Qatar Chamber Sheikh Khalifa bin Jassim bin Mohammed Al-Thani. This agreement is set to enhance the collaboration between the public and private sectors, promoting a more conducive environment for business and investment.

Commenting on the agreement, CEO of Qatar Financial Center Mansoor Rashid Al Khater stated that the partnership reflects a shared commitment to empowering the private sector and supporting the business community. The collaboration aims to create a more efficient and flexible environment for companies in Qatar, strengthening the country's position as a regional hub for business and investment. This initiative aligns with Qatar National Vision 2030, focusing on enhancing the competitiveness of the national economy and supporting economic diversification efforts.

Acting General Manager of Qatar Chamber Ali Bu Sharbak Al Mansori emphasized that the agreement showcases the close cooperation between Qatar Chamber and Qatar Financial Center in supporting the business community. He expressed optimism that this cooperation would serve the private sector and contribute to enhancing the national economy.

The MoU outlines cooperation in organizing joint events and seminars, promoting initiatives of mutual interest, and coordinating efforts to facilitate foreign direct investment and economic cooperation within the country. Companies affiliated with Qatar Financial Center will benefit from services provided by Qatar Chamber, such as the issuance of certificates of origin and the certification of documents in line with the Chamber's procedures.

During the ceremony, Qatar Financial Center presented an overview of its role, services, and the incentives and benefits offered to companies operating under its platform, highlighting the potential advantages of this new collaboration.
