Qatar Chamber Emphasizes Private Sector Role in Enhancing Trade, Economic Relations With Philippines

Doha: Qatar Chamber (QC) discussed ways to enhance cooperation between the Qatari private sector and its Filipino counterpart by launching joint projects and building trade alliances between companies in the two countries. This came during a business meeting held today between several Qatari companies and a delegation consisting of 12 Filipino companies working in the food sector.

According to Qatar News Agency, QC Board Member Abdulla Al Emadi emphasized the significance of the visit by the Filipino business delegation in strengthening economic and commercial ties between Qatar and the Philippines, highlighting the close and rapidly expanding relations between the two countries, particularly in trade and investment, as reflected in high-level visits and numerous agreements signed across various sectors.

Al Emadi also stressed Qatar Chamber's commitment to facilitating partnerships and supporting Qatari businesses in identifying investment prospects in the Philippines, pointing out that bilateral trade between Qatar and the Philippines reached QAR 636 million in 2024, reflecting the growing partnership between the two nations.
