Doha: Qatar Charity has officially launched its new strategy for the period 2026-2030 during a formal ceremony on Sunday. Held under the patronage of HE Minister of Social Development and Family and Chairperson of the Board of Directors of the Regulatory Authority for Charitable Activities (RACA), Buthaina bint Ali Al Jabr Al Nuaimi, the event brought together representatives from government entities, partners, and humanitarian leaders, as well as Qatar Charity officials.

According to Qatar News Agency, HE Chairman of Qatar Charity, Sheikh Hamad bin Nasser bin Jassim Al-Thani, emphasized that the 2026-2030 strategy signifies a continuation of the organization's humanitarian and development journey. It marks a shift towards a phase focused on maximizing impact, strengthening sustainability, and adapting to the rapidly evolving humanitarian landscape.

His Excellency highlighted that the strategy aligns with several national strategies, including the Third National Development Strategy, the Charitable and Humanitarian Sector Strategy in the State of Qatar, the Strategy of the Ministry of Social Development and Family, and the Strategy of Qatar Fund for Development. This alignment supports national integration efforts and contributes effectively to the Qatar National Vision 2030, while remaining consistent with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

The strategy aims to consolidate Qatar Charity's position as a leading, impactful, and sustainable international organization, delivering greater sustainability in line with its vision of a world where communities enjoy development, dignity, security, and peace. His Excellency expressed gratitude to the State of Qatar's leadership and the people of Qatar for their continued support of humanitarian and development efforts.

The ceremony featured documentary videos highlighting Qatar Charity's achievements under its previous strategic plan and the journey of developing the current strategy. A presentation introduced the new strategy's key pillars, directions, and priorities. HE Minister of Social Development and Family and Chairperson of RACA, Buthaina bint Ali Al Jabr Al Nuaimi, officially inaugurated the new strategy.

The Qatar Charity Strategy 2026-2030 is built on an ambitious vision to strengthen the organization's position as a leading international humanitarian and development actor. It seeks to enhance localized, culture-focused interventions within Qatar, while expanding global outreach through specialized programs centered on people and beneficiary communities. The strategy emphasizes fostering a distinguished relationship with donors based on partnership, trust, and transparency.

Furthermore, the strategy prioritizes strengthening financial sustainability and resource growth through diversified funding streams and innovative financing models. It focuses on building advanced institutional and operational capacities grounded in effective governance, digital transformation, innovation, and organizational excellence.

The strategy underscores the importance of effective partnerships with stakeholders at both local and international levels, along with bolstering a media and global presence to highlight humanitarian and development issues. It adopts a stakeholder-centered approach, integrating efforts across all stakeholders to enhance the effectiveness of interventions and deliver sustainable humanitarian and development impact.

The strategy launch builds on the significant outcomes achieved under the previous 2021-2025 strategy, during which Qatar Charity delivered wide-ranging impact. Its interventions provided safe water to approximately 7.7 million beneficiaries, supported over 1.4 million people in education, and assisted 3.8 million beneficiaries in food security. More than 147,000 individuals benefited from livelihoods and income-generating programs, while over 53,000 people gained access to adequate housing.

Qatar Charity's efforts helped alleviate the suffering of more than 20 million people affected by crises and disasters, while maintaining full compliance with humanitarian standards. The organization sponsored 201,935 orphans, improved the lives of around 3.8 million people through its "Rofaqa" initiative, and ensured that more than 80 percent of its international projects aligned with national development plans in beneficiary countries. Qatar Charity also achieved a 90 percent localization rate in leadership and supervisory roles, attracting outstanding Qatari talent.
