Geneva: The State of Qatar voiced its strong condemnation and denunciation of the escalating violations committed by Israeli forces and settlers against the fraternal Palestinian people, including killing, assault, property seizure, forced displacement, home demolitions, continuation of settlement and racist policies, violation of holy places, breach of the Gaza ceasefire, refusal to withdraw, and obstruction of humanitarian aid.
According to Qatar News Agency, this statement was delivered by HE Permanent Representative of the State of Qatar to the United Nations Office in Geneva, Dr. Hend Abdalrahman Al Muftah, during her participation in the general debate on the human rights situation in Palestine and other occupied Arab territories at the 61st session of the Human Rights Council in Geneva.
Her Excellency strongly condemned Israeli aggression against the Syrian Arab Republic and the Republic of Lebanon, citing expansionist policies that undermine peace and threaten security and stability in the Middle East.
She emphasized that the international community's failure to end these violations and hold Israel accountable has contributed to their escalation, allowing Israel to disregard international law. HE the Permanent Representative affirmed that the international community must ensure the Palestinian people regain their legitimate rights, including self-determination and establishing an independent state on the 1967 borders with East Jerusalem as its capital.
