Doha: In conjunction with UEFA and CONMEBOL, the Local Organizing Committee (LOC) has taken the decision to cancel the Qatar Football Festival 2026, which was supposed to take place in Doha from March 26 to 31.

According to Qatar News Agency, the LOC announced that the scheduled events in Qatar, including the Finalissima Qatar 2026 match between Argentina and Spain at Lusail Stadium, will no longer occur in Doha as initially planned. The LOC cited ongoing airspace disruption and travel restrictions as significant factors affecting the travel capability of many fans, players, and officials, leading to the joint conclusion that relocating the match is the most suitable action at this time.

The Committee expressed a future interest in hosting UEFA and CONMEBOL events. Additionally, it assured fans who purchased tickets for the festival that they would receive full refunds automatically to their original payment methods. International fans who bought travel packages through a Tour Operator will be contacted directly concerning their refunds.
