Doha, September 06 (QNA) - The Qatar Martial Arts Championship kicks off Saturday, organized by the Qatar Mixed Martial Arts Committee (MMA), affiliated with the Qatar Boxing and Wrestling Federation, at the Aspire Ladies Sports Hall. The championship, which witnesses the participation of 38 competitors competing in 19 categories throughout the day, is the second official local event of the Qatar Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) Committee, which brings together all combat sports under one roof. The Qatar Mixed Martial Arts Committee (MMA) stressed that the goal of organizing this championship, as well as all local activities, is to provide a closer analysis of the sport and develop the future Qatari national team, so that it can compete at the regional and Asian levels. The committee held a press conference attended by Sheikh Ali bin Jassim Al -Thani and Adel Ghanem Al Marzouqi, members of the committee, during which it revealed the championship program and scheduled matches, as well as the different categories a nd weights that will participate in the event. The tournament will witness 19 matches in various weights, the most prominent of which are two matches for belts. The first is the 18th main match for the belt in the 66 kg weight category, which brings together Mohamed Alaa and Hassan Koush, and the second is the 19th main match for the belt in the 61 kg weight category, in which Abdullah Khan meets Mohamed Amin Adel. In the rest of the matches, Youssef Al-Aidi will meet Omar Brahma in the 66 kg weight, Riyahi Mohammed Amin with AbdulSalam Amino in the 70 kg weight, Shourya Gautam with Tim Fadi in the 50 kg weight, Abdurahman with Mohammed Adnan, Mujahid Mohammed Mirghani with Mohammed Nour Issa in the 57 kg weight, Marco Garcia with Jose Braidy, Khalifa Al-Shammari with Yassin Hassan in the 85 kg weight, Akram Ismail with Abdullah Al-Samarrai, Muhannad Al-Hout with Jamal Hussein in the 66 kg weight, Tamim Al-Shammari with Omar Al-Madady, Ali Ayasra with Omar Al-Saai in the 70 kg weight, Musnad Al-Mohannadi w ith Elias Jalal, Osama Finan with Saad Al-Sulaiti, Abdulrahman Al-Batsh with Abdulaziz Al-Jabouri in the 77 kg weight, Zain Khan with Musab Al-Fadel in the 71 kg weight, Ezz El-Din Al-Wafi with Sultan Al-Hammadi in the 93 kg weight, and Yazid Mohammed Ali with Ali Abdulhadi In heavyweight.
