Doha: Deposit rates at opening as issued on Wednesday by Qatar National Bank (QNB) have been announced, providing detailed figures across several currencies including USD, JPY, CHF, GBP, QAR, SAR, AED, and BHD. These rates are crucial for investors and account holders who are planning their financial strategies.
According to Qatar News Agency, the rates for USD deposits show a steady increase over longer terms, with the 1-month rate at 3.59824%, escalating to 3.82464% for a 12-month deposit. JPY rates are significantly lower, starting at 0.70000% for both 1-month and 2-month terms, before increasing to 1.18000% for a 12-month period. The CHF rates display a gradual shift from negative to positive, starting at -0.10000% for a 1-month deposit and rising to 0.15000% for a 12-month deposit. GBP deposit rates begin at 3.67000% for 1 month, reaching up to 4.55000% for 12 months.
For local and regional currencies, the QAR 1-month deposit rate is set at 4.05070%, decreasing slightly to 3.85000% for a 12-month term. SAR rates remain steady at 4.30000% from 2-month to 12-month deposits. AED rates show an upward trend, starting at 2.05000% for a 1-month deposit and reaching 3.15000% at 12 months. BHD rates also present a slight increase from 4.56000% for a 1-month deposit to 4.63000% for a 12-month deposit.
