Doha: October 19 - The Qatar Padel Federation has announced the signing of a partnership contract with Doha Sport Company to sponsor the upcoming Qatar World Padel Championship 2024, at Khalifa International Tennis and Squash Complex, scheduled to take place from Oct. 28 to Nov. 2, 2024. The agreement was co-signed by the federation's Secretary-General of the Qatar Tennis, Squash, Badminton, and Padel Federation, Tareq Zainal, and CEO of Doha Sports Company Khalid Al Kuwari. Zainal said that he is pleased to partner with Doha Sport Company, especially the vital addition the company will present to the Qatar World Padel Championship 2024, affirming that he is confident in this partnership that will enhance the success of this groundbreaking global event. He added that such cooperation is not the first-of-its-kind, but rather an inveterate partnership that epitomizes the two parties' commitment to significantly supporting sport and athletes in Qatar and advancing the society. For his part, Al Kuwari said Do ha Sport Company will seek to harness the entire potential to serve the championship to be successful since it is one of the best events globally, emphasizing his great confidence in Qatar Tennis, Squash, Badminton, and Padel Federation to ensure the best image of this championship. This is the second time the World Padel Championship will be held in Qatar, having previously hosted it in 2021, where it achieved remarkable success. The World Padel Championship is the most prominent event on the agenda of the International Padel Federation and features participation from two separate categories for men and women. This new edition will feature 16 national teams in each category. The total prize for the championship is 500,000, which will be evenly distributed between men and women and among all teams that reach the finals. Source: Qatar News Agency
