Chairman of the Bow and Arrow Committee and Executive Director of the Qatar Shooting & Archery Association, Jassim Shaheen Al Sulaiti won the membership of the Executive Office of the West Asian Bow and Arrow Federation.

This came during the meeting of the founding general assembly of the West Asian Bow and Arrow Federation, which was held in the Saudi capital, Riyadh, in the presence of 10 out of 11 countries.

This position represents the culmination of the confidence of the continental and international federations in the competence and experience of the Qatari cadres in the Shooting Federation.

The meeting witnessed voting on the positions of president and vice president, and the appointment of a secretary for the federation.

The logo of the West Asian Bow and Arrow Federation was discussed and the date of the federation's first championship, which will be held in Riyadh, was agreed upon. Committees were set up to form the federation's statute.

Al Sulaiti expressed in a statement today, his happiness at winning the membership thanking in the same time HE President of the Qatar Olympic Committee Sheikh Joaan bin Hamad Al-Thani, for his great support for shooting sports and interest in sports and athletes. (QNA)
