Qatari Newspapers Criticize Iran’s Aggressive Actions and Highlight National Food Security Progress

Doha: Al-Sharq newspaper has raised alarms over Iran's continued and unjustified aggressive actions against Qatar and neighboring countries, including the use of ballistic missiles and drones targeting civilian sites and critical infrastructure. Recent attacks on diplomatic missions, such as the UAE consulate in Kurdistan, Iraq, and Kuwait International Airport, violate international law, the United Nations Charter, and principles of peaceful state relations.

According to Qatar News Agency, Al-Sharq criticized the targeting of diplomatic headquarters, noting that such actions contradict international conventions, including the Vienna Convention on Diplomatic and Consular Relations. The newspaper highlighted that attacks on civilian objects and humanitarian infrastructure breach the Geneva Conventions and emphasized the necessity for combatants to distinguish between military and civilian targets. Al-Sharq urged Iran to cease its provocations and destructive actions, which have persistently targeted civilian facilities and aim to expand conflict impact.

Meanwhile, Al-Arab newspaper praised the remarkable transformation within Qatar's agricultural sector, which has bolstered local production to meet market demands. The newspaper attributed this success to strategic investments in modern agricultural technologies, resulting in an abundance of local products in the market. Al-Arab observed high production activity in Qatari farms, showcasing improvements in vegetable, dairy, poultry, and meat production, leading to high self-sufficiency rates.

The Peninsula newspaper highlighted Qatar's effective response to recent regional tensions, ensuring essential supplies remain available and public safety is prioritized. The newspaper commended strategic logistics efforts, including Qatar Airways' transport of essential goods and the enhancement of national reserves. Public safety measures have been updated, emphasizing the importance of safety protocols in public spaces. The Peninsula concluded by affirming Qatar's resilience and preparedness to safeguard supplies and maintain stability amid uncertainties.
