In its editorial, Al-Raya newspaper affirmed that the State of Qatar’s efforts to promote peace, security, and development across the globe are well known. Qatar has drawn the attention of the entire world due to its pioneering initiatives aimed at spreading goodwill, peace, and love. Qatar has always been at the forefront, contributing creative initiatives that support global development and respect for human rights.
The newspaper highlighted the State of Qatar’s diplomatic success as it won membership in the United Nations Human Rights Council for 2025-2027, with the support of 167 countries. This achievement is a recognition and appreciation of Qatar’s distinguished record in upholding human rights, both domestically and internationally. sents an achievement that reflects international appreciation for Qatar’s firm commitment to protecting and promoting human rights and a culmination of the State of Qatar’s continuous efforts to promote the values of justice, equality and human rights, and reflects confidence in its constructive role in the Human Rights Council.
Al-Raya concluded its editorial by saying that through this victory, Qatar renews its firm commitment to continue working with all member states to advance progress in various human rights fields, enhance dialogue and cooperation to find effective solutions to global challenges, defend vulnerable groups, and support all efforts aimed at promoting human dignity.
