Qatari Newspapers Editorials -1-

In its editorial, Al-Raya newspaper affirmed that the State of Qatar’s efforts to promote peace, security, and development across the globe are well known. Qatar has become a role model as a country that has harnessed all its strength and efforts to spread good in the world. Qatar has drawn the attention of the entire world due to its pioneering initiatives aimed at spreading goodwill, peace, and love. Qatar has always been at the forefront, contributing creative initiatives that support global development and respect for human rights.

The newspaper highlighted the State of Qatar’s diplomatic success as it won membership in the United Nations Human Rights Council for 2025-2027, with the support of 167 countries. This achievement is a recognition and appreciation of Qatar’s distinguished record in upholding human rights, both domestically and internationally. In this regard, HE Permanent Representative of the State of Qatar to the United Nations Sheikha Alya Ahmed bin Saif Al-Thani said that the victory repre
sents an achievement that reflects international appreciation for Qatar’s firm commitment to protecting and promoting human rights and a culmination of the State of Qatar’s continuous efforts to promote the values of justice, equality and human rights, and reflects confidence in its constructive role in the Human Rights Council.

Al-Raya concluded its editorial by saying that through this victory, Qatar renews its firm commitment to continue working with all member states to advance progress in various human rights fields, enhance dialogue and cooperation to find effective solutions to global challenges, defend vulnerable groups, and support all efforts aimed at promoting human dignity.

In another matter, The Peninsula newspaper highlighted in its editorial Thursday the launch of the third strategic plan (2024-2030) for the Primary Health Care Corporation. This plan marks a significant milestone for PHCC as it aligns with Qatars broader national strategies the third Qatar National Health Strategy (NHS3) and
the third National Development Strategy (NDS3) for the period 2024-2030 under the theme of “The First Choice for Our Communitys Health,” underscoring the role of primary healthcare as the foundation of a robust, accessible and equitable healthcare system.

The newspaper said in its editorial titled “Shaping Qatar’s Healthcare Future” that since its inception, PHCC has grown exponentially, playing a crucial role in delivering comprehensive healthcare services to the people of Qatar. The third CSP represents not just continuation, but a defining moment in PHCC’s journey towards excellence.

The Peninsula concluded by saying that Qatar has always been pushing the envelope by introducing the latest technology, be it equipment or process, and updating its healthcare infrastructure to be one of the finest in the world. By focusing on sustainability, innovation, and patient-centred care, the country is well-positioned to address current and future health challenges, ensuring that the people of Qatar continue to enjo
y world-class healthcare services.
