Qatari Women Demonstrate Leadership Across Multiple Sectors, Says MoL’s Assistant Undersecretary

Doha: A Ministry of Labor (MoL) official has hailed Qatari women’s labor force participation as a national priority aligning with Qatar National Vision 2030 and sustainable development goals.

According to Qatar News Agency, MoL’s Assistant Undersecretary for National Manpower Affairs in the Private Sector, Sheikha Abdulrahman Ali Al Badi, stated on the occasion of International Women’s Day, commemorated on March 8 annually, that the Ministry is implementing projects and programs to boost female labor force participation. These initiatives particularly focus on the private sector by creating an attractive work environment and strengthening policies that ensure equal opportunities and remove obstacles to their involvement across various professional fields.

Al Badi praised the State of Qatar’s substantial support aimed at empowering women, which is based on the vision of its wise leadership that laid the foundations for justice and equal opportunities. She emphasized that Qatari women’s achievements are the result of continuous efforts and well-thought-out policies that have contributed to strengthening their role in all sectors.

Al Badi urged Qatari women to persist in working, giving, and benefiting from the opportunities available in the private sector, which she described as a fundamental pillar of economic development. She stressed that the country relies on their ambition and creativity.
