Qatar University started Sunday receiving applications for re-admission to its undergraduate programs for the Spring 2025 semester. The application window will remain open until October 23. The available colleges for re-admission in Spring 2025 include: Arts and Sciences, Engineering, Business and Economics, Law, Sharia and Islamic Studies, Education, Nursing, Pharmacy, Health Sciences, Medicine, and Dental Medicine. The university has specified the categories of students eligible to apply for re-admission, including: Students who withdrew from the university and have been absent for more than four consecutive or non-consecutive semesters without prior approval; Formerly accepted students in the Foundation Program who have been absent for more than two semesters; Students unable to complete the Foundation Program requirements within four regular semesters. Re-admission also applies to students placed under "academic suspension" after two attempts to pass courses required by year-based programs or part of t he common year curriculum, as well as those dismissed for academic reasons due to low academic performance or failure to meet graduation requirements. Students can submit their re-admission applications via the university's online portal (apply.qu.edu.qa). The university encourages applicants to include any documents related to achievements, qualifications, or activities they completed during their absence from studies. Qatar University noted that admission is based on competition among applicants, and meeting the minimum requirements for secondary school qualifications does not guarantee admission to the student's preferred major. Admissions are determined by the capacity of each college, along with other criteria. Source: Qatar News Agency
