The MP of Sadiqoon Bloc, a member of the Parliamentary Integrity Committee, Ali Turki Al-Jamali, accused, on Tuesday, the Kurdistan region of being the main carrier of the money for theft of the century.
He said in a statement quoted by the bloc's website: The government has an integrated program to punish the corrupt and recover the looted funds.
Al-Jamali added: There are a number of those involved in the theft of the century, who are still outside Iraq.
He explained: There are judicial procedures being taken to recover the money from Nour Zuhair, indicating: The lifting of the seizure of Nour Zuhair’s properties took place according to an old notification and has nothing to do with deals.
He pointed out that the recovery of funds is necessary to bridge the budget deficit.
Al-Jamali said: The Kurdistan region deals / revoltly / with the state and is not proud of belonging to Iraq and deals with opportunism and exploitation of opportunities, pointing out: It was the main carrier of the money of the theft of the century looted from banks.
He continued: Iraq is looking for equal international relations and will not be a backyard for America and others, pointing out: Al-Kadhimi's period is similar to that of Paul Bremer, and he is a "burnt paper" for America.
The Parliamentary Finance Committee had announced the removal of the travel ban mark from the main suspect in the case of theft of the century, “Nour Zuhair".
Committee member MP, Mustafa Sanad, through his personal account on the Facebook social networking platform, published an official document issued by the Real Estate Registration Directorate to the Basra Real Estate Department demanding that the seizure mark be lifted on the property of the sponsored defendant, "Nour Zuhair" and his wife in Basra Governorate, stressing that the latter is currently in Dubai City.
