Senior GCC Housing Officials Discuss Efforts of Sustaining Criteria of Humanizing Housing Projects

Doha: May 14 - Their Excellencies Senior Housing Officials in the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries discussed the foremost efforts shared between GCC states to sustain the criteria of humanizing housing projects and gauging their success rates and application on the ground. This came during a panel discussion under the theme of humanizing national housing projects in GCC states, as part of the the second edition of the Gulf Housing Week, hosted by Doha during the period from May 13 to 16. Moderated by Assistant Undersecretary for Social Development Affairs at the Ministry of Social Development and Family Fahd Mohammed Al Khayarin, the session tackled the possibility of translating the notion of humanizing the projects into a reality, within the strategies of GCC states, the significance of expanding green spaces and providing sustainability elements through drawing on environment-friendly elements. HE Undersecretary of the Ministry of Municipal, Rural Affairs and Housing for the Agency for Stimulati ng Housing Supply and Real Estate Development in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia Abdul Rahman bin Abdullah Al Taweel said that Saudi Arabia has established a national programme within the Kingdom's vision 2030, two of them are anchored in this field, the first one is housing, from which all initiatives for housing projects emerge, and the second is the Quality of Life program, which is concerned with the quality of human life, and is considered one of the important programs.
