Manama, Dr. Shaikh Abdulla bin Ahmed bin Abdulla Al Khalifa, the Chairman of the Board of Trustees of King Hamad Global Centre for Peaceful Coexistence, emphasised that the humanitarian approach led by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, and supported by His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, was a reflection of Bahrain's commitment to fostering peace, dialogue, and openness. Speaking on the occasion of the International Day of Living Together in Peace, Dr. Shaikh Abdulla said that hosting theArab Summit in Bahrain sends a message of peace and hope to the region and the world. He emphasised that diplomatic dialogue, cultural understanding, and peaceful resolution of regional and international conflicts were effective measures to build a safe and prosperous world. Dr. Shaikh Abdulla highlighted the royal initiatives, such as the Kingdom of Bahrain declaration and the establishment of the King Hamad Global Centre for Peaceful Coexistence, as well as hosting global dialogue conferences to enhance humanitarian solidarity. Upholding the values of coexistence and protecting religious freedoms without discrimination are national fundamentals, Dr. Shaikh Abdulla noted, highlighting Bahrain's success in leveraging knowledge and culture as a solid foundation for peace, considering diversity as a source of strength for humanity. Dr. Shaikh Abdulla said that the international community is facing an ethical test due to humanitarian tragedies, noting that living together in peace means accepting differences, being open to proximity and convergence, rejecting violence and hatred, and having the ability to integrate and show mutual respect. Peace, Dr. Shaikh Abdulla emphasised, is a cultural value and a vital necessity that cannot be compromised or taken lightly. He voiced his appreciation for the Bahrain Summit's commitment to adopting principles of human fraternity and dialogue among religions and cultures as a key factor in enhancing unity and progress. Dr. Sha ikh Abdulla highlighted the constructive contributions of the King Hamad Global Centre for Peaceful Coexistence in serving just humanitarian issues, building communication bridges, and achieving comprehensive and lasting peace worldwide, in line with the objectives of the United Nations and in harmony with religious and humanitarian values. He called on relevant parties in the international community to establish effective mechanisms for humanitarian work and to pave the way for encouraging tolerance and consolidating peaceful coexistence, for a world characterised by stability and harmony.
