The Advisory Executive Board of the Shaikh Nasser Artificial Intelligence Research and Development Centre convened for its third meeting.
Members representing the Central Bank of Bahrain, the Government Hospitals, the Shura Council, the National Audit Office, the Ministry of Industry and Commerce, the Municipalities Affairs and Agriculture Ministry, the Survey and Land Registration Bureau, the Information and Electronic Government Authority, the Ministry of Interior, Bapco, the Economic Development Board and other entities attended.
The session reviewed the center’s achievements for the first half of 2023, mainly the AI projects which were implemented with more that 40 firms and nine other regional partners.
The members also discussed future development projects and initiatives aimed to promote the culture of innovation and investment in research and development.
The session discussed plans to to hold an annual conference on artificial intelligence in Bahrain, stressing the need to develop policies for governance and ethics of artificial intelligence and focus on education in the field of artificial intelligence in early years.
Nasser Vocation Training Centre (NVTC) Chief Executive Officer Dr. Abdulla Nasser Alnoaimi expressed delight at the increasing number of partners from the public and private sectors.
