Manama, Ahmed bin Salman Al Musallam, Speaker of the Council of Representatives, today congratulated Saqr Ghobash, on his election as Speaker of the United Arab Emirates Federal National Council (FNC).

Al Musallam affirmed that Ghobash's success in winning the election uncontested reflected the parliamentary confidence in him thanks to his competence, contributions and continuous efforts in developing parliamentary work in his country, as well as enhancing joint Gulf Cooperation Council, Arab, and international parliamentary action.

He underlined the keenness of the Council of Representatives to strengthen parliamentary cooperation with FNC across variousdevelopment fields, to further bolster the long-standing fraternal Bahrain-UAE relations.
