The 18th edition of the AFC Asian Cup draw brought Syria in Group B along with each of Uzbekistan, Australia and India.
The Syrian team will start its games on January 13th, 2024 against Uzbekistan, then it will meet Australia on January 19th and the last one will be against India on the 25th of the same month.
The tournament was originally scheduled to be held in China from 16 June to 16 July 2023. On 14 May 2022, the AFC announced that China would not host the tournament due to the circumstances caused by the COVID-19 pandemic. So, Qatar will host the tournament from 12 January to February 2024.
