Qatar will be participating with two athletes in the upcoming Tokyo 2020 Paralympic Games to be held from August 24th to September 5th in Japan, an event that will bring together 4400 athletes from 160 nations.
Qatar’s top Paralympians Abdulrahman Abdulqader and Sara Masoud are determined to do their best and make the country proud to in these Tokyo 2020 Paralympic Games.
It is worth mentioning that, the country’s sport delegation have already arrived in Japanese capital of Tokyo and set to kick-off their campaign in the games.
Qatar’s shot putter, Masoud will kick off her competition on September 2nd, while her teammate Abdulqader will start for the F34 glory on September 4th.
The two champions are dreaming big to bring new glorious achievements to Qatar. Masoud is the first ever woman crowned with the Paralympic Games medal in the history of the nation , she won the F33 Shot Put silver in Rio 2016 Paralympic Games and added another a silver in 2017 Para Athletics World Championships.
Masoud has also an amazing record at the Asian level , she won the gold medal in both Shot Put and Discus Throw at Incheon 2014 Asian Para Games and later she raised up her medal tally by winning the silver medal at Jakarta 2018 Asian Para Games.
On the same track of glory, Abdulqader has been the first ever para athlete stepped up the podium in the history of Qatar. He claimed the silver medal in Rio 2016 Paralympic Games , then spared no effort to win the Shot Put silver medal at 2017 Para Athletics World Championships. In 2014, Abdulqader cut the edge to claim the gold medal at Incheon 2014 Asian Para Games.
