Riyadh, Mohammed bin Thamer Al Kaabi, the Minister of Transport and Telecommunications, participated in the first edition of the Global Logistics Forum in Riyadh, held under the patronage of King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud. The forum is organised by Saudi Arabia's Ministry of Transport and Logistic Services, and held at the King Abdullah Financial District during October 12-14. The event aimed to discuss global logistics developments and map out new strategies for enhancing supply chains and trade, with participation from government entities, international organisations, and private sector leaders. The minister expressed his gratitude to Saudi Arabia for their hospitality and highlighted the forum's importance as a key platform for shaping the future of logistics and fostering global economic opportunities. He also emphasised Bahrain's commitment to developing the logistics sector through the initiatives and programmes included in the 2022-2026 logistics strategy. The strategy focuses on boosting the se ctor's contribution to the economy and positioning Bahrain as a regional logistics hub between Europe and Asia. Minister Al Kaabi referenced the 2021 launch of the Bahrain Global Sea-Air Hub, linking Bahrain International Airport and Khalifa Bin Salman Port. The minister looked forward to strengthening regional and international partnerships to ensure the stability and resilience of the logistics sector, which plays a vital role in supporting global economies.
