Beirut: Ten people were killed and 13 others wounded today in Israeli airstrikes on southern Lebanon.

According to Qatar News Agency, the Lebanese health ministry's emergency operations center stated that an Israeli airstrike on the town of Majdal Selm in the Marjeyoun district of southern Lebanon killed two civilians and wounded four others.

An Israeli airstrike on the town of Aytaat in the Tyre district of southern Lebanon killed three people and wounded three others.

The ministry also reported that Israeli warplanes targeted the Jezzine district, killing five people and wounding six others.

Lebanon is facing a military escalation that has intensified since the Israeli air force has increased its raids on the south and the southern suburbs of Beirut, and on a number of towns since March 2, which has caused the forced displacement of nearly a million people.
