The Secretary-General of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation Hussein Brahim Taha has stressed the importance of concerted efforts to reach an international conference aimed at examining what is currently happening in Palestine, and working to take all the decisions that would enable the Palestinians to remain on their land. In his speech before the 33rd Arab Summit held in the Bahraini capital, Manama on Thursday, Taha stressed the need to intensify all responsibilities at the global level to stop this brutal and bloody war, and to mobilize all legal and judicial means available at the global level to ensure the protection of the Palestinian people and also hold the perpetrators accountable. The Secretary-General of the organization said: "We welcome all the decisions that emerged from the United Nations regarding full membership of the State of Palestine so that the Palestinian people can enjoy their full rights, just like the peoples of the world. We must look positively at this initiative and this d ecision and support it to a great extent." He stressed that dialogue remains the only way to bring peace in order to achieve the desired goals on the ground, noting that the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) encourages all parties to adopt dialogue in order to reach the desired peace and stability in all parts of the Arab world.
